While we were sharing the Lucia No.3 in the VIP room at Paleo f(x) 2018, I heard that Dennis would be speaking in the next room. I asked my associates to take care of the VIPs while I went to hear him speak. I apologize for the challenged video quality. I didn't have my tripod and my arms were shaking a bit trying to keep my somewhat heavy 5D trained on him. You may know of him as he and his brother, Terrence McKenna, are responsible for introducing Ayahuasca to the western world. He is also on the board of the Heffter Research Institute which mentors and supports psilocybin researchers, evaluates new approaches, and supports proof-of-concept studies in an effort to gather the evidence base for therapeutic treatments. Consider checking out his new book about growing up with Terrence: "The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss", I'm certain he would appreciate it .

Sorry for the late notification, we recently received verification that we would be participating in "Ritual" tonight. We are taking our traveling light and heading to the KIVA Lounge & Bar in San Marcos, Texas tonight! I might even bring some of my consciousness expanding psychedelic art to share with my fellow artists and Ritual goers. Ritual is a monthly live art and music event held in beautiful San Marcos for the purpose of sharing, generating, and celebrating culture. Please come join us in the frequencies and rhythms of the evening and show support for your local artists, music producers, and craft makers in the last big Ritual event before the intensity of the new semester takes hold. This month's Ritual gathering is filled with an amazing collection of music, visual arts, craft makers, and art lovers and creators of many walks. We have been asked to bring the Lucia no.3 Lucid Light and are excited to showcase it at Kiva tonight. As the organizers say, It'll "give you a tasty gulp of the local awesomeness of Central Texas!" If you are in the San Marcos Area tonight, stop in! A quick clip from their invite: "We strive to bring you local dance music and jamtronica acts to keep your body grooving and allow for an intimate space for producers and dis to connect with the audience. The people we meet continually impress us with how ready and hungry they are to truly connect. We find ourselves being more mindful of being more mindful because of the beings who find their way to our office; constantly reminded that each person is a mirror for us and is there for a reason. We are entertained and educated by the increasing amount of synchronicity and insight that comes from each new person we have the opportunity of connecting with. As exciting and full as today was, I created this: It is part of a series I've been working on entitled, "Insight". Here's to the new day that brings shiny new mirrors for us that enhance our ability to be accountable to ourselves and our community and to act with empathy and understanding in everything that we do. May our connections find as much insight and healing by interacting with us as we do by our experiences with them.
Recently, we met with and shared the Lucid Light with people from three countries and four U.S. states. Each meeting was impactful on us and, I believe, on them. We met with people from extremely diverse lifestyles and socio-economic backgrounds, each looking to expand their personal meditation practices, but beyond that, to identify more fully with who they are as human beings and part of humanity. In December of 2014, I received a call from my best friend from college. She had just met a young lady in San Francisco who introduced her to an amazing new technology, the Lucia N°03 (A hypnagogic light and meditation appliance). She spent the next one and a half hours detailing her 45 minute experience. She attempted to share what her experience was like: What she saw, heard, felt, and numerous attempts to explain what she encountered. It lead her to a peaceful loss for words. As she was concluding her call, she said, “I think if I were to do this once a month, I’d flat be a better person.” That stopped me dead in my tracks. She is one of the most amazing women I’ve ever known. I was intrigued to the point of looking at airfares to fly over a thousand miles to try it myself. This may not sound like much to many of you, but I swore off non-mandatory air travel years ago and those close to me know how adamant I have been about it. To my surprise, I found myself flying from Austin, TX to Boulder, CO about two weeks later to meet up with my guide to the light. Allison turned out to be a delightful young lady who I readily identified with. She made me feel at home, bought me breakfast, drove me back to her office, made me herbal tea, and answered lots of questions I had about this amazing technology. Then, it was time. I put on headphones and positioned myself comfortably on her couch, under a light that looks something like this: Even after being told detail after detail of my friend’s experience, having all of my questions answered by my guide, and thinking I knew what I might experience, I still really had no idea what I was about to experience.
