On Saturday, August the 4th, Gallery Lucid will be hosting the Surreal Summer Visions art show and there will be no access to the Lucia No.3 until Monday, August the 6th.
The mere mention of the word causes many of us to shudder in discomfort. As seekers, we look to find new ways of surrendering as each new moment brings insight and unexpected truths.
So I suppose the secret to letting go lies in staging experiences in which you forget remember to be on guard; experiences that are enthralling enough, that they hijack your attention enough, that they eclipse the monkey mind -- the mind that is on guard.
Silva says this is his take on Experience Design in the new economy:
What's your take?
While we were sharing the Lucia No.3 in the VIP room at Paleo f(x) 2018, I heard that Dennis would be speaking in the next room. I asked my associates to take care of the VIPs while I went to hear him speak. I apologize for the challenged video quality. I didn't have my tripod and my arms were shaking a bit trying to keep my somewhat heavy 5D trained on him.
You may know of him as he and his brother, Terrence McKenna, are responsible for introducing Ayahuasca to the western world. He is also on the board of the Heffter Research Institute which mentors and supports psilocybin researchers, evaluates new approaches, and supports proof-of-concept studies in an effort to gather the evidence base for therapeutic treatments.
Consider checking out his new book about growing up with Terrence: "The Brotherhood of the Screaming Abyss", I'm certain he would appreciate it .
I often hear people speak of looking beyond the veil or "seeing through the veil" between "worlds". This sensation is not uncommon and has been written about for millenia.
I have had this experience numerous times. For me, it is a sense as if my consciouisness acknowledges the presence of a reality just beyod that of my five individual senses. I have long believed and professed that the secrets and magic of the universe are hidden in the subtleties and perceptions within ourselves and of our universe.
Meditation can be one of the most potent methods of service to one's self, community, the earth, and humanity. Intensified emotions and actions have long been associated with full moons. We've noticed that our meditations during full moons often appear to have an amplified impact, as well. The magnifying effects of full moons have been written of throughout history, marking auspicious occasions; in folklore, mythology, spiritual celebrations, and harvests.
Full Buck Moon
July is the month of the Full Buck Moon, as bucks begin to grow new antlers around this time of year. The most recent full moon is also known as the Thunder Moon because thunderstorms are so frequent during the month of July. It's also called the hay moon because it signals to farmers it is time to harvest the hay before the rains come.
Full moons have been associated with insomnia throughout time. Research shows that the pineal gland does more than regulate sleep cycles. Many believe that the iridescence of the moon is a powerful light source that not only suspends sleep, but can stimulate inspiration and divine connection. Artists, shamans, healers, and seeker all look to the moon for light, externally and internally.
What is a Full Moon?
"A full moon is a lunar phase that occurs when the moon is completely illuminated, when viewed from Earth. This is when the Moon is opposite the Earth from the Sun. This means that the (ecliptic) longitudes of the Sun and Moon differ by 180 degrees; the Moon is in opposition with the Sun. Lunar months, synodic months, average about 29.5 days."
Samantha is of Native American descent and has always felt a special connection with the moon. We find that, not only, our planting cycles follow the moon, but our ritual cycles. When the moon is high and bright in the sky, you can find our entire family enjoying this special luminous, illuminating time. We enjoy smudging each other, incense rituals, planting, watering, and grooming our green friends, spending time meditating in the moonlight, and watching Tesla twirl in the moonlight. Oh, but to see through a two year old's eyes on a full moon! Watching her be allowed and encouraged to appreciate the fullness of the moon, her decreased desire to sleep, and her increased desire to create excites me to no end.
We've attempted to allow her to follow her body's natural circadian rhythms since birth, including full moon inspirational
“but the fully-lighted orb of the moon indicates a free and unimpeded alignment between our planet and the sun, the solar center, the energy source for all life on Earth. At such times we can make a definite approach to God, the Creator, the center of life and intelligence.” ~Alice A. Bailey
Five Day Moon Cycles
As you might have recognized, the impacts of the full moon are usually considered to strongly impact five days. The two days preceding, the day of the full moon, and the two days following each full moon.
One line of thought is that the two days prior to the full moon, one should look to release the ego and remove thoughts of one's own issues/problems, whether they impact the mind, body or spirit.
The day of the full moon is a day for connecting the external to the internal and the internal to the external. Turning within can have a very powerful outward result.
The two days following the full moon are days of action and activity. These are days upon which creative ideas abound in the face of virtually all challenges.

We have been asked back to share our technology in the VIP room at Paleo f(x) 2018. flickerlux and Lucid Light of Austin are partnering to bring you an amazing experience including access to two Lucia No.3 lights, two oxygen bars, and Rapid Reboot (a type of compression therapy) to re-energize aching legs and feet.
Here's a quick video from the last year's Paleo f(x). Notice how his experience was not disturbed by the fact that the end-of-conference celebration was in full swing.
Paleo f(x)'s motto is: "Heal thyself. Change the world." We at Lucid Light and flickerlux couldn't agree more and look forward to sharing our technologies and insights with the speakers and VIPs.
We look forward to seeing many of you on the 27th!!!
We are back from traveling with the Lucia No.3 hypnagogic light (again) and hope to be sharing some photos and videos from some of our most recent travels with the Lucid Light before we head off for the next adventure. Sorry about not having more blog posts along the way thus far, but we hope to remedy that situation soon. We went to some beautiful places and met amazing people, but had very few opportunities to access the internet.
One of my daily meditation techniques is within art creation. I often geek out on friends and acquaintances about the art I create and I tend to throw around a number of terms. I know for some people, these terms are very familiar and you may even use them on a regular basis. For others I know, what I am about to share will be a number of new additions to the vocabulary.
What's a fractal?
One of my favorite fractal formulas to work with is the Mandelbrot set.
The term Mandelbrot set is used to refer both to a general class of fractal sets and to a particular instance of such a set. In general, a Mandelbrot set marks the set of points in the complex plane such that the corresponding Julia set is connected and not computable.
"The" Mandelbrot set is the set obtained from the quadratic recurrence equation where points in the complex plane for which the orbit of does not tend to infinity are in the set. Setting equal to any point in the set that is not a periodic point gives the same result. The Mandelbrot set was originally called a molecule by Mandelbrot. J. Hubbard and A. Douady proved that the Mandelbrot set is a connected set. I know it's starting to sound a bit nerdy, but the next frame shows the beauty someone armed with a little nerdiness can create.
The fractal above was created in an attempt to express the energetic experience of working with a Kundalini master and then using the Lucia No.3 in an attempt to integrate what transpired. This fractal piece was created using 3 separate fractal programs and editing, tweaking, and overlapping the images in Photoshop.
If you are heading out to Burning Man, look for the Lucia No.3(s) on the Playa. I will try to share when I receive reports back from Allison and Zack with The Traveling Light. I expect to hear back of great adventure, connection, and inspiration.
